Six Senses Laamu is currently at the top of our list for honeymooners wanting barefoot luxury in the Maldives.

Six Senses Laamu is the only resort on the  Laamu atoll, deep in the Indian Ocean. The island exudes natural beauty, powder white sand, lush tropical vegetation and crystal clear waters.

Service is premium, with Six Senses GEMs (Guest Experience Makers) overseeing every need from arrival to departure. Ask us about the spa offerings, they will blow your mind!

Six Senses Laamu Villas

The villas are eco-friendly, yet luxurious and sit on the beach or over the turquoise water of the lagoon. The packing guide even reminds visitors how important keeping the Maldives pristine is, by requesting anything plastic brought to the island be taken back with the guest. There are also 2-bedroom villas for families or groups.

Six Senses Laamu Bars & Restaurants

The bars and restaurants offer the best organic, fresh food, locally grown and caught, cocktails inspired by original ‘tropical’ recipes, over 400 wines kept in a climatically controlled towering glass wine ‘cellar’ and fun: live music, visiting DJ’s, mixologists, chefs and winemakers.

Leaf, is perched above an organic garden offering local Maldavian ingredients and fresh fish.  Zen is Japanese fusion.  These are the only two restaurants that require reservations. Breakfast is served daily in Longitude – the overwater, open-air restaurant with international food a la carte.

The chill bar offer cocktails with local ingredients and sits over the water in a relaxed style. Sip Sip is the poolside sunken bar that offers easy bites (pizza, salads, burgers).

Six Senses Laamu Excursions & Activities

Many people think the only option in the Maldives is to lie down on the beach and relax. However, Six Senses Laamu offers a wide array of experiences for families, adventure-seekers, and couples.

Watersports available are: surfing, windsurfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, and catamaran sailing. Due to the secluded location, the waves are all yours!

Scuba diving is prime in all of the Maldives and the Laamu offers crystal clear visibility.

Take the opportunity to meet the locals and explore the neighboring islands. Get a glimpse into the Maldivian way of life and visit an island mosque, school, community office and grocery stores.

When to Visit

High season is from November to April, with peak season being over Christmas and New Year. All year round you can watch dolphins swim, while diving choices are endless.
