Real Honeymoon: Capri, Mykonos, Santorini

Scott and Tara, like so many couples, were both extremely busy at work and having a hard time coordinating all the logistics involved in planning a honeymoon. They debated and landed on a combo of Amalfi Coast and Greek Islands. This is a quintessential Mediterranean combo, we love it! Their style is modern and design chic so we paired them with some of our favorite boutique properties in the five locations they visited. For cities, the stuck to the classics: Rome and Athens. They opted to spend their time on the Amalfi Coast on the island of Capri enjoying the beach clubs and taking boat rides. For the Greek Islands, they choose Mykonos for lively atmosphere and beach clubs, and Santorini for relaxation and taking in the natural beauty. They kept a packed schedule with planned tours and dining reservations, but left time for exploring on their own.

Dom Hotel is an intimate 5-star property in Rome with only 18 rooms, each with views over the historic Via Guilia. The hotel is in an old monastery of the XVII century and located in the heart of Rome.

Hot Tip: Grab an aperitif on the 4th floor terrace and enjoy the views.

Capri Tiberio Palace is just a couple minutes walk from the Piazzetta, but in a calmer location with spectacular views of Marina Piccola. The decor is very eclectic and hip. Authentic Capri hospitality really shines from the General manager to the bartenders. If you want to enjoy the hotel grounds, the two pools, world-class spa and Jacky Bar,  and restaurant Terrazza Tiberio serve up a luxury experience.

Hot Tip: Set up beach club reservations through us well in advance during the summer.

Myconian Kyma is the perfect boutique hotel, perched atop a hill with gorgeous Aegean sea views, this secluded retreat is a short stroll from the thriving nightlife of Mykonos town. Days begin with champagne breakfast on your terrace by your private pool, or jacuzzi.

Hot tip: Guests of the Myconian Kyma are entitled to experience and enjoy the facilities of sister  properties, Myconian Korali Relais et Chateaux and the Myconian Naia.

Canaves Oia Epitome is the newest hotel in the Canaves collection, just opened Spring 2018. We love all of their stunning hotels and think this one is perfect honeymooners.  The hotel sits on the northern part of the cosmopolitan town of Oia in Santorini, above the picturesque fishing town of Ammoudi,  and is a  well-kept secret. All suites have private pools!

Athens Was,  a boutique luxury hotel located right next to the Acropolis Museum is perfect for a 1-2 night stay in the city.

Hot tip: Eating or grabbing a drink at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Sense, is a must for views of the Acropolis.
