Real Honeymoon and Elopement in Thailand
This couple came to us knowing they would end their trip in Vietnam with a trip to visit the groom’s mother. They also knew they wanted to combine their honeymoon with an elopement ceremony. They asked for unique and we gave it to them! They rode in on elephants for their wedding ceremony in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

We’ve rounded up the amazing hotels were they stayed. For info about the hotels or specific ideas for local tours and restaurants, contact us.
COMO Metropolitan Bangkok is a stylish 4-star boutique property, centrally located in Bangkok. Ideal for those who appreciate attention to design, rooftop pools and exploring the city.
Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort in Chiang Rai ranks as one of our favorite places worldwide due to our elephant obsession. It is the setting for this couple’s wedding ceremony. It is an all-inclusive experience with daily activities to include elephant encounters, a visit to the Golden Triangle (corner of Myanmar, Laos and Thailand), cooking classes, cultural experiences with local tribes and much more. Their spa is top-notch with unique indigenous treatments!
From Bangkok, you’re only a 1.5 hour flight away from Chiang Rai airport. From the airport, you’ll be picked up for a one hour transfer to the resort in the jungle.
Anantara Mai Khoa Villas in Phuket is a secluded villa-only property in Phuket. The trip from Chiang Rai to Phuket can be made via a 2-hour nonstop flight. From the hills to the beach in no time! Phuket is an ideal destination for scuba diving or snorkeling. A fun day trip is to explore the nearby islands by boat. Rise to yoga or Muay Thai on the beach at dawn. Enjoy sunset drinks amidst the treetops or head to the sanctuary spa unwinding. This resort is ideal for complete relaxation during the last stop on this honeymoon.
