Safari Family Halloween

I miss planning safaris SO much that I made my entire family dress up for a concrete jungle safari over Halloween. I can’t wait to take my little lion to Africa one day. African countries are among my favorite locations to send clients. You can craft whatever trip you want for any type of traveler.

The logistics are quite complex involving multi-country itineraries with visas — and small prop planes to get to safari concessions. I know the best guides in each country, which lodges are the most romantic, or kid friendly, where to eat, what activities are recommended in each location, etc. I also have close relationships with the lodges which helps me clear space. One of the unexpected hardest parts of safari planning is that there’s such limited space at each lodge/ tented camp and they book out a year or so in advance. Another big factor is choosing which country, best time of year to go depending on wildlife and rains.

Kids, parents and grandparents taking in the great migration and  hot air ballooning over the Serengeti in Kenya and Tanzania.

Honeymooners in South Africa for a big five safari followed relaxing on the beach in the Seychelles or Mozambique.

A couples adventure trip with shark cage diving outside Cape Town and  Bungee jumping adventure in Victoria Falls.

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda and Uganda is extremely exclusive and in high demand.

Those who have been to Africa before are seeking out less-traveled countries like Botswana for fishing or Namibia for the sand dunes.

Many African countries have reopened and are already taking reservations for 2022. The 2020 Bookings were pushed to 2021, making space super limited so if you want to visit Africa next year, it’s time to book!
