Client Spotlight: Rachelle Douglass

 Rachelle Douglass is a dear friend and bad-ass Emergency Room Doctor in California. She is an avid traveler, and we love sharing our bucket list dream trips.

I’ve helped her plan trips to Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and Greece. On her own she’s loved visiting Cuba & Morocco. It’s obviously been one heck of a tough year for her (I’ve seen the photos of her PPE digging into her face after long shifts). She’s remained optimistic and her bucket list has grown in the meantime.

Q: What’s your next dream trip?

A: Anywhere! An African safari will always be in the top of my list but Spain, Portugal, Singapore, Glo worm cave New Zealand, Tonga, Tahiti, Bora bora, Turtles at Rosalie Bay Dominica, Canyoning In Bali. To name a few..

Q: How are you doing one year into the pandemic?

I’m surviving. It’s been super stressful and without my normal stress relief of travel it’s definitely been difficult at times. I learned about pandemics in med school, but NEVER thought I would have to deal with one myself. It’s been a hard year but I still love what I do!

Q: Does the vaccine make you feel hopeful that travel is coming back?

A: I am so happy we finally have a vaccine and pray that it can help us get back to “normal”. I definitely feel safer traveling being almost 3 months out from my second vaccine.

She is extremely thoughtful. A few weeks into the pandemic she dropped off a puzzle for me because she knew I was going stir crazy and she even hooked me up with some Kansas City BBQ sauce (flown in from the best spots) for some ribs I was making.  She is a die-hard Chiefs & Royals fan (and will be caught at social gatherings checking on the scores).
