This couple knew they wanted South Africa and Seychelles. CAPE TOWN
Cape Town, the capital of South Africa, is the ideal first stop on a honeymoon in South Africa. Depending on your interests, you can enjoy an array of activities, and incredible food and drink.
Take a quick drive to Boulders Beach to visit a colony of nearly 3, 000 African penguins. Head up the cable car to Table Mountain to get a 360-degree view of the city. Take a stroll through the Kirstenbosch Gardens.
An out-of-the box tour option is to experience a culture by seeing how people live their day to day lives. Cape Town is a melting pot and consequently there are many cultures -the two predominant ones being the BoKaap and the townships of the Cape Flats. The Bo-Kaap, previously known as the “Malay Quarter” is the remnants of Cape Town first freed Malay Slave community and the Townships are where the majority of Cape Town’s black population live. During the tour you will interact with locals, visit a Shebeen, as the once illegal pubs are known, get a chance to see some local arts and crafts and visit a Sangoma (traditional healer).
