About Megan

Megan lives in Carmel Valley, CA with her husband, 2 sons, and their lovable mini Aussie pup. Her passion for travel was ignited when she took her first steps off the plane in Italy as a young girl. She was completely enamored with the golden fields of sunflowers, ancient cobblestone villages, and all the gelato she could eat! Since then, she’s cultivated a lifetime of exploration, from navigating all over the US for sailing regattas, to trekking around Europe during her semester abroad, to present-day adventuring along the West Coast with her husband and kids.

In her most recent role as a high school math teacher, Megan honed her skills in organization, planning, and relationship building. Armed with a math degree and a master’s in education, she brings a unique blend of analytical skill and a nurturing spirit to her new role as a travel advisor. Her experience traveling solo, as a couple, and then later as a family with young kids means she’s adept at catering to the diverse needs of different travelers.

What is your most memorable travel experience?

It’s not possible to choose just one! Some highlights are: Hiking the Pipiwai trail in Maui through the bamboo forest to a 200 foot waterfall. Sailing in the team race world championship with friends in Austria. Biking through wine country in Sonoma, CA. Walking Cinque Terre in Italy.

Where do you dream of traveling next?

Italy, Croatia and Costa Rica are at the top of my list!

What is your favorite hotel?

Ojai Valley Inn in Southern California for a family-friendly oasis; Four Seasons Hualalai on the Big Island of Hawaii for picture perfect relaxation and beauty; Solage in Napa Valley for a girls’ trip

Air tags! They are indispensable for keeping track of your belongings, whether it’s your luggage, keys, or even your kids.
