About Cayla
Cayla grew up on Long Island, New York where her family would take an annual trip to the Caribbean to escape the winter blues. From a young age, she would pour over travel websites and magazines to build itineraries for her family trips.
Cayla’s passion for travel was further ignited in college while studying abroad in Parma, Italy. She spent every weekend on the go, exploring as much of Europe as she could in her six months living there.
After college, Cayla earned a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and taught kindergarten for ten years. As a teacher, she honed her skills in leadership, organization, and communication.
After years of sharing itineraries and helping family and friends plan their trips, Cayla is thrilled to be working in the travel industry and joining the talented team at Crafted Escapes.
Cayla lives in the Boston area with her husband, daughter, and lovable golden retriever. Her family can often be found on road trips exploring all the beauty that New England has to offer!
What is your most memorable travel experience?
A 14 day Euro trip through Italy, Spain, and the South of France! This was the first big trip I planned and inspired me to want to work in travel and help others experience the magic of exploring!
Where do you dream of traveling next?
A safari in Kenya is at the very top of my list! My husband and I also dream of a kid free trip to Paris.

Give best tips for travelers?
Plan well, but leave room for spontaneity! Some of my favorite travel experiences have come from recommendations from locals or other travelers that we meet along the way!
