To say we’re obsessed with the Royal Portfolio collection of hotels in South Africa would be an understatement. The collection includes four iconic properties in Cape Town, the whale coast (Hermanus), the winelands (Franschoek), and a stunning safari lodge in Greater Kruger National Park. Each one styled by the talented designer Liz Biden. She and her husband , Phil, first opened the Royal Malewane in 1999. Their son, Matthew Biden, took over in 2012 as managing director and has continued to grow the brand.
