We Asked Our Advisors to Pick One Hotel. Here’s What They Chose.

The answers below are based on luxury hotel stays from January to June, 2026. We’re obviously a discerning bunch so this is high praise to these properties.
Laura Dugan: Nayara Tented Camp in Costa Rica. We went with my family for spring break. The rainforest setting was stunning with the volcano views and the amazing wildlife surrounding us. Our family tent setup was family glamping (I would use glamping loosely as it was so luxurious and on par with any luxury hotel room!) at its finest; two huge rooms/tents (one with an incredible soaking tub) connected in a private area with our own plunge pool. The food at the resort was excellent and the staff were so friendly. Lots of fun and adventurous excursions to do in the area.
Megan Stauffer: Four Seasons Astir Palace on the Athenian Riviera. From the moment you step on property, you feel like you’re on vacation. I love this since many of our American clients have taken quite a long journey to arrive in Greece! It’s somehow only 30 from the airport and about 40 minutes from central Athens, yet has some of mainland Greece’s absolute best beaches. Don’t skip the boutiques curated with local artisan products or a trip to the 15,000 square foot spa with its many water features.
Annie Chambers: Le Toiny in St Barths. I loved the huge plunge pool where I soaked in the views. I enjoyed popping into the shop at the beach, and the ride down in the Land Rover to the bohemian beach club is so fun! It feels so secluded, a total departure from the busy hotels and beach clubs on the other side of the island.
Catherine Perez: The Soho Hotel in London. I stayed there with my husband and our two daughters. I loved the cozy, beautifully designed common spaces that made it feel like coming home after a day of exploring, as well as its tucked-away location that offered a peaceful retreat while still being just steps from the energy of Soho. The staff were genuinely attentive and made us feel so welcome, and the thoughtful family-friendly touches, like coloring books, scavenger hunts, and little surprises for the kids, elevated the entire experience. It’s a hotel I’d recommend without hesitation for families who want luxury without sacrificing warmth or personality.
Kelley Lawrence: Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel. Perfect for a long weekend getaway with my family (husband and 3 young kids). Easy access from SNA airport, right on the beach, and recently renovated so rooms are beautiful. Beautiful ocean views!! Several dining options on property, but also close to several great spots in Laguna Beach and surrounding areas. Close proximity to Disney, so easy to do for a day! Excellent service, they make it easy for families providing beach toys and a full beach set up with chairs, umbrella, etc. Perfect, long weekend, highly recommend!
Viviana Bertinetto-Garrett: Wickanninish Inn. The views of the beach and the cliffs are truly unbeatable, and the rooms are spacious and cozy – I miss my reading corner next to the fireplace! I loved watching the mist lift in the morning, giving way to blue skies. The hotel gave us everything we needed to be active in the unpredictable late spring weather: boots, rain jackets, backpacks, and my favorite: reusable water bottles to refill at the hotel water stations, with still or sparkling cold water! On our last day, we took the hotel bikes to Chesterman beach nearby and then hiked to Cox Bay Lookout.
Cassie Lochridge: Rosewood Mayakoba. Treated our children sooo well. Greeted them with popsicles in the heat while we checked in, took a boat to our room and spotted wildlife on the way. Had bikes for all of us at our room, and even had training wheels for our youngest. Top notch service, our butler greeted us in our suite and prepared special welcome Mezcal for my husband and I and our kids got to enjoy chocolate chip cookies. Their proactivity and care just makes traveling with kids easy.
Alex Cutler: The Nantucket Hotel! From the minute I walked in the staff made me feel welcomed like I was a part of the family. I loved the homey decor, the thoughtfully designed corners to cozy up with a favorite Elin Hilderbrand book or catch up with a friend or family member on the island. The Monday night clambakes are a must! And in summer they have Apres Sea on the porch for daily happy hour oysters, caviar and great cocktails! It’s a few minutes walk into town for dinner at one of the many great restaurants on island, like Proprietors, Nautilus or Lola 41. A memorable moment was getting to ride their famous red fire truck for a quick ride to/from the beach. Every moment felt curated, but personal.
Michelle Juj: Ambergis Cay in Turks & Caicos- Dream Estate. Went with 10 couples for a 40th birthday. Loved driving around the golf carts, swimming in the pool, hanging at the beach and dinners with our private chef. Highlight was the floating tiki bar in the middle of the ocean!
