Describe the Nantucket Hotel vibe — how does it feel compared to other island or resort stays?

The Nantucket Hotel feels less like a traditional luxury resort and more like the quintessential Nantucket summer home, elevated with exceptional service and amenities. Unlike many island properties that lean heavily into exclusivity or formality, the atmosphere here is warm, polished, and genuinely welcoming. Think classic New England charm, wraparound porches, hydrangeas, and families gathering after a day at the beach for their famous lobster clambake, paired with the comfort and service standards of a luxury hotel. It strikes a rare balance between sophisticated and approachable.

What room category did you stay in, and would you recommend the same or upgrade?

I loved my Junior Suite, it was spacious and offered plenty of room for a couple or family. They also offer up to 3 and 4 bedroom suites – like the Captain’s Suite – that are truly unique and feel like your own private home or apartment within the hotel.

I also loved that they offer dog-friendly cottages so you can bring your pup to the island too!

What’s the standout amenity or service moment that made the stay memorable?

The complimentary transportation service is one of the hotel’s most valuable luxuries. The ability to be seamlessly transported to town, the ferry, or nearby beaches removes much of the logistical stress that can come with Nantucket during peak season. Combined with a staff that genuinely seems invested in making every stay effortless, it creates a feeling of being completely taken care of from arrival to departure.

I also LOVE the complimentary kids’ programming offered at all Little Gem Resorts – including during brunch on the weekends!

Best meal — at the hotel or somewhere nearby you’d send every guest?

The hotel’s famous Monday Night Clambakes are a must!

Who is The Nantucket Hotel for (Families, couples, groups, solo travelers)?

Truly everyone! There is something for everyone here. It’s great for first-time visitors to Nantucket and families who want to be close to town and have a refined but family-friendly experience, couples, groups, dog-friendly and multi-gen families.

They also offer the only private event space on the island – huge when you think about the costs to hire a tent and bring everything in!

What did the hotel do that genuinely exceeded expectations?

They made everyone feel so genuinely welcome and taken care of. As if you were part of the family. The hotel manages to feel intimate despite being one of Nantucket’s larger hotels, and everyone left feeling like they were personally looked after.

Three things you’d tell a CE client before they book.

Location is a major advantage. You can easily walk into town while still enjoying a resort-style setting, which is surprisingly difficult to find on Nantucket.

Book early to secure the room category you actually want. While the hotel is the only year-round hotel on the island, the best suite inventory disappears quickly, with 60% of guests returning year after year, particularly during peak summer weeks.
